Bobby Poll is 55 years young and currently lives in Bishopstoke, Eastleigh
She is a single mum of 2 children. A daughter of 31 married with 2 children and now living in Australia, and a Son of 23 engaged to be married still living locally.
Bobby has been working within the field of Physical disability for the past 37 years involved with Care, Counselling and Education
Previously she worked at Lord Mayor Treloar College which is the National Specialist College for children with Physical Disabilities and provides both Day and boarding facilities for children and young adults.
Her current employment is at Kings’ School Winchester, where she has devoted her time since 1995 within the physically disabled resourced provision. It is one of Hampshire’s 3 mainstream schools to provide inclusive education for physically disabled pupils within a mainstream secondary school. There ethos is to focus on a child’s ability rather than disability and to focus on the quality not the quantity of life and its experiences.
Bobby believes passionately in the rights of disabled children to be included in all aspects of education and activities and in providing support to parents and carers to enable them to believe in their child’s ability and potential.
She has been an active and engaged member of the Kings’ School governing body for the past 12 years. Initially as a staff governor and more recently as a co-opted governor and is currently chair of the premises committee and also sit as a member of the Pupil Support committee.
