Knights Foundation Lodge

Knights Foundation Lodge

...a luxurious 'memory maker' for disabled families!

A dream that has truly been in the pipelines for quite some time, is becoming reality!

Did you know that when booking disabled accommodation, you might find that you have inflated prices due to the 'different requirements' and possible additional space you may need.  Perhaps your accommodation is pushed out on the periphery of the resort, away from others, or in deed that the standard of your accommodation has been compromised because you needed a wet room or a ramp - well, most disabled families just accept this because they NEED the accessibility.  But WHY should your luxury be compromised by accessibility?

This week we have picked up the keys to our new fabulously luxurious new Lodge - and it's accessible!

It's located at the beautiful Shorefield Holiday Park at Milford-On-Sea, Lymington, right on the edge of the New Forest.

We have built state of the art composite decking all around the lodge, with a wide ramp leading up to the decking for wheelchair and power chair access.  The decking is apparently the largest on the site, which shows how much Shorefield have got behind this venture, and are making it everything that we need for these special families!

In the next few weeks, this vast decking area will be filled with beautiful furniture to make this a desirable outdoor living space, with plenty of room!

Quayside have kindly donated their time and energy into adapting the wet room for us, to cater for many families needs.  Fully accessible, with drop down rails and a shower seat, this will take away the stress of caring for a disabled child away from the home, something that is an additional stress when travelling with a disabled child.

We will be renting the Knights Foundation Lodge out to families with disabilities, at a much subsidised rate to what you would normally pay on a park like this, and for the highest quality accommodation.  Once the final payment has been made on the Lodge, our intention is to have disabled families staying there for FREE, how amazing will this be!

In the meantime, we will be renting the Lodge out to Patrons and guests, to help support the families that will be staying.  We will also have a select amount of weeks which we may offer complimentary, but let's get the work done first and the official launch...

The Lodge is available 48 weeks a year, basically all year round excluding January!
