A Waterskiing Adventure

Riding the waves...

On 7th August, we spent the day with Access Adventure at Heron Lake, where for many of our families it was their very first time trying waterskiing. The instructors were incredible, supporting the children as they battled their nerves and built their confidence.  

The day began with some fun on the ringo ride, laughing and bouncing over the waves (and hoping not to fall in!) As the day went on, each child was called up to take on the ultimate challenge. Whether they managed to stand on the skis for just a few seconds or complete the full session, every attempt felt like a huge achievement.

Their families were full of pride, many sharing that they never thought activities like these would be possible. It's incredible to see the opportunity Access Adventures gives to our children and families - truly living up to 'seeing the ability not the disability'.
